When I Grow Up I Want To Be Just Like My Mom

My mom is my best friend. When God created her I feel as though He created her just for me. My mom is such a strong woman. She raised my sister and me on her own. I don’t know how she did it, but I do know that God was with her every step of the way. When I was born I was a pound and 3 ounces and was only eleven inches long. She was there with me for all the surgeries and doctors appointments. She was there when they had to amputate my leg at 11  months old.

I remember when my younger sister was born and I was so sad when I couldn’t stay in the hospital with my mom. My sister is still my best friend to this day. My mom tells me that I use to go around to people, smile and say that’s my little sister. When my sister was born I felt that our family was complete and I still feel this way now. We have two dogs, Dray and Theo. They are my best friends too and I love the five of us as a family.

I’m 26 currently and I am realizing my high school ten-year reunion is in two years. As I get older, I am realizing who God has created me to be. I also pray that if it’s God’s will for me to get married and have kids I pray that I am half the mom she is to my sister and me. She is so strong and God has used her to shape my life and the lives of others.

So, who in your life has made a big impact on you?
