Materials and Measurements
Yarn Weight: 4 ply, medium worsted weight yarn
Hook Size: H or 5.00mm
The cowl or infinity scarf can be customized to fit you and your style.
Stitches Used:
- Magic Circle: Here a great Youtube video on how to do a magic circle.
- Puff Stitch: Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop (repeat this two more times for a total of 7 loops on the hook). Yarn over and pull through all 7 loops, Chain 1.
- Foundation Single Crochet: Here a great Youtube video on how to do foundation single crochet.
- Single Crochet
- Slip stitch
Pattern
Round 1: 100 Foundation Single Crochet (Place stitch marker in the last stitch) (This is the length of the scarf, so if you want something longer or shorter you just have to add or decrease the foundation single crochets).
Round 2: * 1 puff stitch in the first stitch. (be careful not to twist the foundation single crochet row). Chain 1, skip the next stitch.* Repeat * to * all the way around. (Last puff stitch in the round will be the stitch right before the stitch marker of the previous round.) (50 puff stitches total)
Round 3: * 1 puff stitch in the next chain space, Chain 1 * Repeat * to * all the way around. (50 puff stitches total)
Round 4: * 1 single crochet in next chain space, Chain 1 * Repeat * to * all the way around.
Round 5: Repeat Row 4
Round 6 – Round 7: Repeat Round 3
Round 8 – Round 9: Repeat Round 4
Round 10 – Round 11: Repeat Round 3
Round 12: Repeat Round 4
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
