I’ve seen the ribbed look in sweaters and other garments and clothing for years. In this pattern, I wanted to make a headband with stretch but also protects you from the cold in fall and winter months. Materials and Measurements
Yarn Weight: 4 ply, medium worsted weight yarn*
Gauge: 6 stitches per row equal 2 inches; 6 rows equals 2 inches*
Headband Circumference: 14 inches (approximately)
Headband Height: 3 inches (approximately)
Stitches Used:

- Foundation Half Double Crochet
- Half Double Crochet
- Chain
- Slip stitch
Pattern
Row 1: 10 Foundation Half Double crochet stitches. (10 Half Double crochet stitches in this row.)
Row 2-Row 56: Chain 1, turn, 1 Half Double stitch in the front loop of each stitch across. (10 Single crochet stitches in this row.)
End: Cut yarn and weave the both of the short ends together with a tapestry needle or you can also slip stitch the ends together.
